‘Chubby’ is the ultimate school master. It is rare to find a competitive Grand Prix horse that is also quiet enough to be ridden safely by the greenest beginner.  His temperament is outstanding and his training is second to none. Flying changes, pirouettes, halfpass, piaffe, passage, this horse does it all at the touch of a button!

Chiaretto, a Sweedish Warmblood, was imported from the UK in 2006 by Warwick McLean. During his career in Europe Chiaretto competed at the Sunshine Tour in Spain and also won the Intermediate II at Hickstead in England.

Warwick  began competing at Grand Prix just six months after his arrival in Australia. At his most recent outing in Werribee he placed third in the Grand Prix scoring over 60%, and won the Intermediate II with 62%. He has also competed at Sydney CDI the past two years and will be back again this year.

Last year Chubby starred in the TV comedy show ‘Can We Help’ with Peter Rosethorn on board, a real testament to how truly bomb proof this horse is!

He is an absolute pleasure in every way, there is never a drama whether at home or out competing – Chubby is the perfect horse.
