Alistair McLean & Rikke Andreason, Denmark
Alistair McLean and Rikke Andreason reside and train in Copenhagen, Denmark. The have had great success training horses of all levels and types from Thoroughbreds, to Warmbloods, to Icelandic horses and many more. The pair are passionate about psychology and ethology and bring together the perfect mix of experience, enthusiasm and chemistry.
Alistair McLean is Dr Andrew & Manuela McLean’s youngest son and has had lifelong exposure and practice of learning theory, animal behaviour and horse training. He will begin his degree in Psychology in 2012 at the University of Copenhagen and plans to use his horse psychology and human psychology knowledge to build a well-informed career in horse and rider training. His experience and know-how has led him to train many horses in Denmark and even had him successfully training unfamiliar movements such as tölting and pacing. He has an excellent natural feel and specialises in behaviour problems such as tension and aversive behaviours, as well as foundation training.
Rikke Andreason has been educated under Dr Andrew & Manuela McLean and the Australian Equine Behaviour Centre for over 12 months. Here she handled and trained many horses of all levels and shows great talent with people and animals. Rikke is studying zoology at the University of Copenhagen. She is a passionate, skilled rider with a good feel for training.
Together they complement each other and already have a strong client following in Denmark. They are available for lessons, training and consultation.
