Charlot Dekkers
Charlot Dekkers joined the AEBC in 2000 and has become one of our greatest assets. Coming from Eindhoven in the Netherlands and a graduate of the highly respected Hartpury College in the UK, Charlot is now one of the AEBC's senior riders and an experienced trainer of young horses. Known for her comprehensive approach, Charlot has a reputation for 'leaving no stone unturned' when it comes to training and is an extremely thorough, logical and patient teacher.
Her specialist area at AEBC is 'finishing' horses at the end of their foundation training or retraining. Charlot's work generally follows that of Warwick McLean and Elsa Willans-Davis, supporting and reinforcing the training they have completed.
In Australia, Charlot's competition involvement has progressed from Novice level in eventing to FEI level dressage, riding Axel III. Recently Charlot has been compeeting on the Hannoverian stallion Alessando at Medium and Advanced level, with great success.
In 2007 Charlot travelled to Holland to spend time training at the Bartells Academy and with Anky Van Grunsven and Sjef Jansen. An experience that has broadend her undersatnding of dressage and training horses.
